The problem:

The treatment: Intense Pulse Light (IPL)

is a non-invasive skin treatment that will improve the overall colour and texture of your skin. Its advanced technology allows us to customise treatments for different skin tones and conditions.

The results: Dark skin discolouration is improved, redness is diffused, sun damage and age spots are reduced, and overall your skin will look and feel fresh and rejuvenated.

Downtime: None, but you should avoid exposure to the sun for 48 hours.

What does the treatment involve

IPL is a system of pulsed light and lasers that penetrates the skin to improve tone and texture. No gels or topical anaesthetics are required and the procedure can be carried out on the face, chest, arms and hands. Here at our Clinic the very latest IPL technology on the market, known as IPL Quantum is a type of laser skin treatment is both quicker and more effective than older IPL technologies.

Does the treatment hurt

IPL is not painful, though you may experience a mild tingling sensation.

How long does the session last

With IPL Quantum we can now treat a whole face in just 30 minutes, whereas treatment takes 45 minutes with older technologies.

How many sessions will I need

In order to achieve the best results we recommend a course of six treatments.

How soon can I expect to see results

You should see an improvement after the first session with the end results clearly visible after your last treatment.

How long will the results last

The results will last between12 and18 months, at which point you can come back to us for a top up treatment.

What are thr side affects if any

The treated area may be a little red immediately after the procedure, but this is normal and will not last long at all.
